2006 Murano OEM Lug Nut size

Well... Interesting that I don't find this topic on the forum so here it goes:

Anyone have an idea of what the official lug nut (socket) size is for the OEM wheels? I read somewhere (not trustworthy like here) that it's .81" and that equates to a 13/16" socket. Problem is, my quality deep sockets and cheaper impact sockets don't fit. The 7/8" fit and grab but are too loose.

So I am thinking that the 2006 Murano is truly a metric size? If anyone knows for sure, that would be very helpful.

I've been using standard SAE sockets on mine. Don't remember which, but no problems.

Bought a set of metric deep impact sockets with the expectation that 21mm is the "right size." 13/16 =.8125 inches X 25.4 mm/inch = 20.64mm

Will report back here later.

And the jury is in...

21 mm fits more snugly than a 7/8" SAE socket with just a hair of free-play while a 13/16" does not fit at all (smaller than 21 mm at 20.63 mm equivalent).

So, my 2006 Murano uses a 21 mm socket for lug nuts.

Cool. I have a metric deep well set, too...just hadn't used it on the lugs.
