Hi all
I just changed the 2 serpentine belts yesterday, put everything back together, started her up, went to pull of the drive and now she has a considerable power steering fluid leak. Any advice would be greatly appreciated Thanks |

I doubt that bolt would cause a leak. It is more probable that when you moved the P/S pump to get the belt off and on one of the hoses dot damaged.

I found a bolt directly opposite bolt D to the left, that goes in again from the back like bolt D, into the PS pump that was loose.
It looked as though it was a bolt that held the body of the pump together, because there was a red gasket looking part sandwiched between. So i tightened it up and topped of the fluid and it seems to have cured the problem. Only thing is the belt around the compressor and alternator is squealin. The reason is because i couldnt loosen the nut on the idler pulley, because 2 yrs ago the guy who changed the belts then for me rounded it off somewhat, so i cant tighten the belt properly. I thought about trying to grind the nut off Thanks |
