And for that matter, the Murano is not a truck or an SUV. It's in the class of vehicles called crossovers, meaning it's an automobile with a SUV-style body on it. It won't handle the loads, the roads or the 4WD demands that a true SUV will. A Murano is an Altima with a mid-sized SUV body on it and AWD (not 4WD). True SUVs include vehicles like the Jeep Grand Cherokee and its Ford and GM counterparts with actual 4WD systems and rugged drivetrains. It's probably my 'Murrican car background, but I don't consider a 3.5 liter V6 a "big" engine. I don't even consider a 305 (5-liter) V8 a big engine, although I suppose it is in today's world. Now, you get over 350 cubes in a V8, V10 or V12, that's a big engine. And the Murano's engine controls are set up as they are to prevent tearing up the CVT. It's not a drag racer, it's a crossover that handles very well for its class, accelerates very well for its class, and overall performs nicely. It's not a Nissan Skyline.

hahahah why being so touchy about it?
I know MO isnt a sport car, but a crossover... Then why is sin to ask for the acceleration of the vehicule??? In my country the average vehicule has a 4 cylindres and 2.0 liters, so here 3.5 and 245 hp is a big engine... There are tens of videos in youtube showing the acceleration of the murano..and the acceleration is better than many cars... and in the reviews of "caranddriver"....they check the quarter of mile and the 0-60mph acceleration!!!! as in all other reviews But I have understand your mental stupidity, i lost the interest in this forum. and by the way NNJOE....get a life!!! u have too many post!!!! i bet you are christians, thats why u are so stupid, and transform a technical theme in a personal one.. if i had better english i would teach you how to not being an idiot, but i dont and i give a **** about u rich fat (deleted by mod)!! |

Brucenash,
Of course anything bigger than a 4 cylinder is big. But in the USA that is nothing. The main point is that a murano is a heavy machine which needs a strong enough engine to power it but it does not mean its meant for racing. Doing a simple search would have answered your question http://consumerguideauto.howstuffwor...n-murano-1.htm . If you research long enough you will understand why a MO is used for a comfy ride and not racing. Which will make your inquiry sounding funny. |
