Today a sound became evident from the car.
Particularly noticable as driving past solid objects (bounce back). I would describe it as the sound of air released from an air hose or a brake pad grazing a rotor. A steady consistent noise level. It ceases at stopping. I had just prior engaged the AWD Lock and drove slowly (5-8mph) around a parking lot turning left and right. ![]() Any thoughts out there?

Yes. DO NOT EVER engage the AWD lock and drive anywhere while turning on a solid surface, anytime!!
This is the single best way to break your transfer case. It is not designed to take the load of driving on a high traction surface like that. As for the noise, it could be a disc brake pad wear sensor scraping on a rotor.
