Just sold my 2004 MO 2 hours ago, so now it's back to a single 2011 MO.
And just for reference, I went under my 04 MO and there's not a drop of leaking oil anywhere (87k miles) not from the engine, nor the TC and CVT. Had our local Nissan lifting the car to be inspected by the new owner, and the mechanic proclaimed that it was like new! Southern California LA weather. Passed smog with extremely low numbers, all in all a car in very good condition even after 8 years of service. I wanted to tell you this as I see and hear a lot of "bad news" and I thought that it was only pertinent to at least provide a counter to some of these rather negative entries. The MO is a great car and unfortunately some of you have had bad luck, but that would have been true for many other much more expensive cars. Try to talk to a Mercedes S series owner what kind of electrical problems they have had to contend with and how Mercedes have dealt with them. Not that I defend any mishaps, but there are always some problems with any product. Just my 2 cents for what it's worth Thanks you for all your inputs and helpful responses |

So is this your last post on this website or the last post for your 04 MO. I was reading the topic like what you'd hear a captian say on Star Trek or something.

No I didn't mean it to be of that level of finallity
![]() I will be half time in Europe, i.e. not driving the MO and the other half here in the US so it won't accrue many miles and sit in a garage for months at a time. I expect that I won't have any trouble with my 2011 MO to a degree where I will need "fixing", but I will check in now and then just to see if there's something I can learn from you guys and be looking out for Thanks for asking

You know...this gives me an idea for a thread that could be a continuous story. People make posts that evolve the story and it keeps going and going and going.
Anybody interested?
