I just did a tune up a few months back, so plugs are good. I'm not burning oil nor am loosing coolant. I'll try the fuel treatment and then the O2 sensor if the fuel treatment doesn't work.

I tried the premium fuel and a large bottle of chevron cleaner, no luck. I did pick up one of the spark plug adapters and modified as mentioned above and it has tricked the system so far. Ran it about 3 days after the fix, and no code is present. Going to take it in for emissions testing later this week and see what happens.

Old thread but dogbone did you replace the upstream sensor or downstream sensor on bank one? From reading this post I assume its the downstream sensor since it appears this is the only true o2 sensor.Thanks.

I believe I found the answer. Its the downstream correct? The upstream appears to be a air flow sensor

downstream, yes. Mine has been working great, but last week the check engine came on again. Haven't read the code yet to see what it says this time.
