As you may be aware i am a newby! I recently bought a nissan murano 05. Few weeks ago my local dealer advised that i needed to replace front control arms, but the cost here in the UK is £300 each. I looked in the net and it seems i could get them cheaper in the US. The big question is, are they compatible? And if anyone could advice on the best make and place to buy them i would very much appreciate.....

I got mine from ebay $200 shipped in the USA-- for both-- left and right side last summer.. The rear bushings are not fluid filled either unlike the oem ones that seems to leak out early. Its by Dorman with lifetime warranty. So far so good. 2004 SE AWD. I would assume they are compatible...did not matter if you are a right hand drive car.

lems-
Welcome to the forum. If your local dealer has the same ethics as some (most?) of our dealers then I suggest you get a second opinion from a reputable garage. You may find out you don't need service after all. And if you do, they should be able to source the items for less than what the dealer is asking. -njjoe

I am almost sure....since the LCA is fastened to the knuckle and the front suspension frame. No steering connection. Get the part number from your dealer parts dept. and if you get the same part number here in the USA then you know its the same one. Its 54500-CA010 right transverse link and 54501-CA010 for the left transverse link. That is what nissan calls the LCA.

I have contacted the dealer for the suspension arm part numbers, they are 54500 cc40A and 54501 cc40A, very similar to the one you indicated, but i am not sure about the last ones. Any idea why they would be ending in different numbers?

How about taking those UK numbers online and entering them into a US auto parts database? If you come up with the same part in the US, you should be good.
