I'm driving Murano 2006, When I accelerate engine picks up smoothly crossing 40Kmph. when I remove leg from accelerate pedal, I feel the drag in vehicle speed till the speedometer drops to 40Kmph. Once the speedometer pointer just crosses 40Kmph there is a Jerk in vehicle speed and in Engine RPM pointer.
After the jerk the vehicle goes smoothly and same process continues every time the speed crosses 40Kmph.
Becoming mad while driving because of this.. In traffic condition this vehicle speed jerk makes me worry since it forces me to brake suddenly.
Is it because of EMC? or CVT issue? What is the solution??
Sounds kind of like a torque converter lock up, it happened to make the engine and trans a true 1 to 1 ratio, it should also kick out of you give it more gas or step in the brake I believe
Are you sure it happens at 40km/h and not a bit lower speed? The reason I am asking is that the torque converter will unlock as you slow down to stop. This unlocking is more pronounced in a Murano than any other car I have driven. But the unlock should happen around 15mph or just below 30kmph. If this jerking is due to torque converter unlocking, then it is normal and you have nothing to worry about.
Thanks for response, Yeah It happens in 40Km/h. In lower speed any acceleration or braking up to 40 Km/h does not create any trouble.
Once I increases speed to 60 Km/h and if I remove leg from gas pedal, there is a drag in speed only from 50 Km/h till 40 Km/h band and jerk in vehicle movement and in Engine Rev pointer when Speedometer crosses 40Km/h. After the jerk the vehicle moves without drag.

The driving pattern cited seems unusual. I normally don't accelerate past 40, then decelerate to less than 40, then speed up again. Maybe that's because our speed limits tend to be 35/45/55/75 around here.
I agree with the others that you have discovered the speed at which the torque converter may unlock, then re-engage when you speed up (or vice versa). I'd say you don't have a problem at all.
find the video for the above discussed issue, Engine RPM jerks while speedometer cross down 40Kmph. This action repeats every time speedometer cross down 40Kmph.
Is it torque converter lock up issue? How to solve this?
I have this hiccup thing too only when speed is below 30 kmph, and, not always jerk but on and off now and then. I was told about this converter clutch engagement too and told not to worry about it. Some said maybe changing CVT fluid will help.
