cvt fluid

hey folks,
so i got my murano used last year at 97k miles. its creeping into 118k miles now and i was thinking about having the cvt fluid changed since my other cars get tranny fluid changed at about 5-10k miles. Concern i have is, i know we are supposed to use the cvt fluid from nissan but is there any way i can be certain last owner used cvt fluid from nissan? and will i have any trouble if the last owner did use some other brand and i switch it back to the one from nissan? BTW car was purchased used at a honda dealership. Thanks for the info.

If you are really concerned just change the CVT fluid, so you will know that it is correct. However,the CVT fluid is a dark greenish color, if you check it and it is a reddish color, change it ASAP.

Nothing would go wrong if you change it back to CVT fluid. how much did you pay for your Murano? I got mine last year and it has 94k 2007 for 15ks
