Purchased an '06 SE a couple of weeks ago and love the car. I want to check the air filter and the brief instructions in a manual seem easy enough...unfasten the clips and lift the top of the filter case off the bottom.
Seemed very straight forward until I tried to do that...not as simple (for me anyway). The top appears to be held on by the two clips on the fender side, and what appears to be plastic hinges on the engine side. I don't want to break something. Any help will be appreciated. Rky |

It's not a hinge, it's just lips that stick out through holes in the top. Take off the hose and pop the clips and with enough wiggling you'll get the top off.
