i have a 2004 se awd murano i absolutely love it, i bought it 2 months ago with 249 000kms with a new 60 000km engine it runs perfectly however some little things are wrong my air bag light is flashing took it to nissan they said it is the clock spring, after replacing the rear o2 sensor to fix the vdc wich wasnt working i couldnt afford to do that as well also i can do the work my self now mu cruise control isnt working was wondering if this stopped working due to the broken clockspring? iam also getting poor gas milage 22 24 liters per 100km is this normal any suggestions? would also like to say been searching the web at nissan forums and this one is by far the best a LOT of smart very knowledgeable owners on here iam so happy to be a murano owner and member of such a kick ass fourm

The clock spring is how all the electrical stuff on your steering wheel maintains a connection with the vehicle, so yeah, I'd bet a bad clockspring would cause cruise control issues.
10.2 mpg is really low. Tires inflated properly? Correct size tires? Any check engine light? Do you drive like my wife... treating the gas pedal like an on/off switch? |

The spring is covered under the powertrain warranty, which was extended to 10yrs 120,000 miles. Based on my conversion, you are still covered under warranty. Don't let the dealer tell you otherwise. See my thread on this.

If you've struck out so far, I suggest you not rely on calling...use the Internet and put out the word that way. You can't call nearly as many as you can reach online.
