amber light ring around ignition

anyone know what bulb is behind the ignition? i am ordering the "37" base bulb that lights into the tray in front of the gear shifter, and was going to go ahead and get a white bulb for the ignition ring too... thanks guys!

I don't know for sure, but I believe the light in question is an integral part of the ignition switch.

In other words, if you had a new MO and the light failed the dealer would replace the ignition switch assembly.

But I could be wrong.

No need. Looking at the FSM there is a bulb there very similar to the instrumental panel bulbs that you can twist and replace attached to the ignition key finisher/plastic casing. You just need to open it up and see exactly what they put in there. Sometimes you can just change the bulb alone and sometimes the entire bulb socket combo.
