My 2007 Nissan Murano just started to have trouble starting, it tries to start but won't. This is in the morning, after sitting overnight or for a day. I have been told it might be the fuel pump, but wondering if anyone else has had this trouble. It has 52,000 miles on it, the battery is good, Lord knows it has worked hard to try to start it. If it is the fuel pump are they hard to put in on this model. Thanks

What specific behavior does the car exhibit? I tend to make the assumption that "tries" means that it is cranking over but will not start.
Does it crank for an extended period at normal speed, but not start? Or does it crank rather slowly? Does it sputter as if it's trying to start, but won't quite do so? How old is the battery (it seems that battery issues are quite common)?

I'd lean more towards a cold start valve since it sounds like it only exhibits the issue when the block is cold, but would love to get more info as well
