The njjoe-MO is cruising along with 74,000 miles on its ticker. Other than brakes every year or so, front struts, and a rusted oil pan, she has been holding up pretty good. However, I have a feeling that is all about to change.
My house sits on the Kettle Creek, which is a tributary to the Barnegat Bay. During Hurricane Sandy the tide rose 7' and inundated the waterfront. The road leading to my house was under 2' of water during the peak high tide. The njjoe-MO forded numerous salt water covered roads as I traveled back and forth to my house that night.
I figure sometime next year I will hit a pot hole and the entire undercarriage with separate from the body!
Here's a few pics of my house during and after the hurricane.
The red glow in the middle of the photo is a house across the bay that burned down during the height of the storm...
The water is normally 100' feet away, at the end of a 75' beach...
As you can see, the beach is covered by several feet of water...
This is our road, 12 hours later, still covered in salt water...
