Losing air pressure slowly from one tire
The TPMS warning light came on this morning and I checked all the tires and found one with a pressure of 27- all the rest were at 36
I put air in the tire and the light went out within the first minute of driving.
I remember reading on the forum there might have been a recall of the valves that I believe were degrading on 2009 models and wondered if this might be the cause of the slow leak.
I searched the forum briefly and couldn't find the thread. I am leaving for a trip to Boston area tomorrow and I am considering scheduling an appointment at the local dealer up there to take look. If there is a service bulletin on this, it would help to know ahead of the appointment.
It may actually be the tire and not the valve I suppose, in which case I'd appreciate advice on whether to get the Nissan dealer to look at this. I dont know if the TPMS needs to be reset if the tyre is taken off the rim- and whether its better to let the dealer do this rather than take it to a discount tire chain.
