Power Door Lock Switches on Door Armrests

Can anyone with a 2014 Murano Platinum tell me if both the lock AND unlock switches on the armrests light up at night? My lock switch lights up, but not the unlock switch and it seems odd that they both don't light up.

Just checked and the same as yours. Have no idea why the unlock doesn't light

Just saw this. Thanks for your reply. I tried to get this repaired under warranty and the dealer told me the 2012 & 2013's light up and all the gen3 years light up, but not the 2014 year. I just assumed they were lying to me, as this dealer has lied to me before. After your response I'll have to believe them. I guess that part of the assembly line for the 2014's went on strike that year.

My thought: Safety...

At night the lock button is lit, we agree. Get into a panic situation, easy to find.

When you are safe and ready to leave the car, push the stop button open the door auto unlock.

I get your reasoning about safety, but it doesn't explain why in all the other years, the unlock button lights up.
Thanks
