Backup Camera Replacement on 2013 LE

There have been several posts about the lack of quality of backup cameras across years. This lack of quality is especially evident when compared to cameras available today and also with cameras on other manufacturer cars of the same years as the Muranos in question.

On my 2013 Murano LE with Nav, I have tried to adjust the brightness, tint, color, contrast, and black level and just cannot get a clear, sharp image out of the camera.

It is noted that members have gone back to the dealer with the camera issues, and from what I recall, have had no luck.

Was wondering if anyone has swapped out the OEM camera with an after-market camera. If so, the following information would be greatly appreciated:
- - make, model, and specs of the replacement camera
- - directions or reference documentation on camera replacement
Many thanks!

Our 2014 Platinum has a poor backup camera. It seems out of focus. Dealer has checked it but cant seem to improve it. Said they could replace it for
about 700-900 dollars (Canada). Vehicle is still on warranty but apparently wouldnt be covered on that. Our 2007 has a great backup camera, you would
think 7 years later there should have been a big improvement instead of going downhill.

I agree with these comments, is anyone aware of an after market replacement - "On my 2013 Murano LE with Nav, I have tried to adjust the brightness, tint, color, contrast, and black level and just cannot get a clear, sharp image out of the camera. "
