Default Mesh grill

I do NOT like this at all, but I would like to have something that matches our grill to fill in the lower opening. Anyone know of anything for the lower front opening?

Look at www.cloud-rider.com. Several people on this forum (including me) have gotten their lower grill inserts on earlier Muranos and have liked them quite a bit. Don't seem to have as many options for the 2009, but worth a look.

Not a mesh grille… but a mighty fine lower grille and also a cool lower bumper bar with optional LED DRLs. They also have a nice two piece rear bumper guard. You might have to do a little work to find their US distributor, but well worth the search.

Take care!

I'm assuming that you're referencing mesh grilles for the 09 murano? If so...this is the one I would get:

I'd really appreciate a link to this if there is a thread, and yes I did try the search function.

This area under the grill was a design defect in our last RX, the opening was a rock magnet, and that's where the A/C condensor sat. We're lucky in never got a puncture.

Not sure if there is a thread but if you are looking for ideas check my gallery for some pictures. Granted, it is first generation but I said "ideas"...I made mine from mesh grill (rain gutter cover) and some plastic door molding. Total cost about $5 if I remember correctly.

That looks pretty good, how did you fasten it to the Mo?

Took a piece of metal, punched a small hole on one end. Then bent it in the middle forming a hook. Then took a long screw, passed it through the mesh, attached the hook on the back and then hooked it to the bumper! You can also buy similar hooks at home depot. I just made mine.. I used several.

I know it's not a Mo, but this is what I did (blacking out the burger and then using black plastic screening) to clean up the front end of my old Maxima:

Would you please post a pic of it on the vehicle?

Great ideas! I may try this but have once concern, any issues with loss of air flow? Just wondering if adding the screen to the opening might increase temps under the hood.
