Though it will not help with this particular issue I suggest you have done the TSB fix mentioned here the next time the vehicle is at the dealer. It does fix a few quirks. For them to do it you have to complain that your Mo has one or more of the issues mentioned in the TSB or they will not do the update. They just write down what you say and do the fix....

Well I hope it does fix it but I'm not gonna hold my breath! Where is the module that runs the bluetooth?....under the seat like in my Titan? I'll make them change that as well. It may also be the microphone itself...wherever the heII that may be!

Well, if you get a fix from the dealer PLEASE find out exactly what the fix entailed and post here.. May just be the mic, I am not sure.. The mic is up with the overhead map lights..... in between the two.

Hi-
Does anyone have a copy of the Nissan version of the TSB? I can find a PDF of the Infinity version, but not the Nissan. I called the dealership with the number and they said they couldn't find it. Prefer not to battle over the issue if I can locate the Nissan version of the TSB. Thanks |

It is now 125D. When you look it over you will see in the DVD pictured there that 125B is shown. Anyway, click on the link below for the TSB you seek: http://auffarth.com/BillFolder/Murano/NTB10-125d.pdf .

BillArf,
Thanks so much for posting! Interesting that its for the 2011 Murano (built after 1 Sep 10). Ours was built prior to that, its a 2010, built 5/2010, and we have a similiar issues. I thought I read that the Nav's for the 09 and 10's was different than the 11's, so I assume they won't consider this TSB against ours, but will try. Thanks again, really appreciate you posting it! "most everyone I call with my cellphone working with the bluetooth say they can't hear me properly / words are broken, etc.. I have pretty much stopped using the Murano bluetooth and my cellphone. Had this issue before the TSB update and continue to have it. I have wondered if others with the 2011 have had the same issue? Cellphone or Murano bluetooth is the villian?"
I have been having the exact same issue in my 2011 SL w/Nav/BT, and after discussing with my car audio specialist, he claims that the BT version in the 2011's is v1.7, whereas BT is 'supposedly' out with v2.8 now, and coming with v3.0 in early 2014. He says that the differences between v1.7 and 2.8 are ridiculous ( as in tremendous), and that the leap into quality jumps even light years beyond that when you move from v2.8 to v3.0. And he specifically states that the voice quality of the calls is directly affected by these upgrades, along with numerous other qualities like suppressed background noise due to ANR, choppiness and cutouts, etc. He claims that the microphone isn't the problem at all , something I had originally begun thinking of replacing. The number of complaints I get from business clients with whom I speak while driving is unacceptable. Does anyone know more in-depth information on this particular subject that they'd be willing to share here? And if/when I bring the vehicle to the dealership, will they know enough to determine which version of BT I have in my 2011, and how to bring the software updates into being ( assuming there are some?). While I love the Murano, I have been to 4 different dealerships to discuss these specific issues with their maintenance departments, and the collective sum of knowledge they possessed on the NAV/Audio/BT portion of the vehicle systems was less than what my 4-year old Labrador Retriever understands! And BTW, why are the dealerships so bent on keeping the secret about who makes the radios for Nissan? If they were more forthcoming with that specific make/model information, it'd be a lot easier to know where to begin on the software/equipment update journey, and that'd translate into a whole bunch more happy customers. Also, can anyone recommend the best video bypass product to get around the parking brake concern? And finally, is there a way to bring satellite TV into the vehicle, even though it has allegedly been outlawed in this country>? Thanks! |
