XMNavtraffic needs a subscription doesnt it ? The only reason I am considering LE is for the HIDs (to an extent also the rear heated seats). Even if I decide to go with the LE I dont think I will get Nav. A $200 gps can do the job imho.

HID are the only thing I'm missing on our SL. I'm also not planning to ride in the back. |

Test drove the 11 LE today..the suspension definitely felt like what it should be for that kinda money..the steering wheel needed much less effort than my 06 Mo. I drove one with an all black interior.Personally I wldnt buy the black interior for half the price..makes the interior luk cheap and cramped. The 9 speaker Bose was ok..maybe it sounds better in the rear with 2 extra rear speakers. The 20s were pretty good for cornering. Minor niggle being the side view mirror joystick control..looks silly and cheap. The fake wood trim is not something you would pay extra for. So the HIds are the only stand out on the LE. The dealership wher I test drove was lousy from the moment I stepped in..dint know wht the differences in the trims were..kept askin me if I wld buy today..kept callin the 11s 'left overs'..felt like a deliberate attempt to make me luk at the 12s..when I askd if they Carried a white LE 11..the quick retort was 'wld u buy today it if we find one today?'...asked them abt the trade in..they said they can only evaluate my current Mo if I agree to buy a New one first..blah...
I am still confused with the "HID" terminology..the SL seems to have one HID and one halogen light ..is the Hid for the low and halogen for the high ? I never ever use the high beams..

SL has projectors for low beam and halogens for high beam. LE has HID for both.

Projectors do not indicate that HID's are installed. I think what you meant is the HID setup on the Murano has projectors for both low and high beam. The S, SV and SL have projector halogen low beam and reflector halogen high beam. When in doubt, turn the lights on and look at the light.

My point is don't let them press you into a purchase. You may have your idea on a certain car and may think they have it for you, but they may not be the dealer for you. That is, if you have the option of more than one dealer in the area of course. And agreeing to buy before even an estimate of trade in doesn't sound right. P.s. I got a call about 4 days later from that other dealership saying that sorry, the car was sold did I want to look at another or consider a new one. I told them I was considering new, but not from them. I actually had already purchased my new car.

The SL has projector halogen low beams and reflector style halogen high beams. The LE uses projectors with bi-functional HIDs. So the LEs high and low beams are both from the one projector. They then fill in where the SLs reflector would be with some silly looking bullet thingamabob..lol

As for the ride of the 18 vs 20s, I have both sets for my 2010 LE. I expected a bigger difference, but there is little in terms of "impact" or "smoothness" between the two. My 18s (Nissan OEM rims) have winter tires, so there is definitely a decrease in handling, but I really expected these "soft" tires with the taller sidewalls to ride much more smoothly...they just feel softer and less precise when cornering. Hope that helps.
Matt
