Knocking/Vibration in Steering wheel - Nissan Murano

Hi all-

I have a 2009 LE, I am currently having issues with a knocking/vibration that I feel in the steering wheel as well as the gas pedal. It is most apparent at about 40mph. Took it in and they checked the steering- rack and pinion etc and say it was all fine- blamed the low profile tires on the LE. Wondering if it could be a ball joint or strut and what that might feel like.

Sounds like a tire out of balance, out of round, or a belt slipped. Did they check the tires?
