Talking 255's Tires on 235 stock oem rims?

Hello everyone
I just picked up rims from nissan murano le because i have the stock sl ones.
I would want to get new all season tires for the le rims but i would want
to get wider ones? Is it possible to put 255's Yokohama tires on the
stock oem LE rims?

Yes, I mounted up the Yokohama 255's onto 20" LE rims with no problems other than my speedo reads about 1 mph slower than normal. Red Kiosk, Hokey 777, and a bunch of others have done it too.

I did the same....mounted 255's on the 20 inch LE rims and really like the more aggressive look....performance is great, ride is quiet, and I've had no issues. Red Kiosk talked me into the change...and I am indebteded to him for the suggestion.

Did you drop from the 55 to a 50 for the 255's? I see that with at 255/55-20, the tire is quite a bit larger and the difference is 2.9%

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
235/55-20 5.1in 15.1in 30.2in 94.8in 668 0.0%
255/55-20 5.5in 15.5in 31.0in 97.5in 650 2.9%

If you move to a 255/50-20 the difference is -0.5% difference.

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
235/55-20 5.1in 15.1in 30.2in 94.8in 668 0.0%
255/50-20 5.0in 15.0in 30.0in 94.4in 671 -0.5%

I like the idea!

I'm getting ready to purchase my 3rd set of tires at 110K. Have the Yoko Prada x 235/55/r20 on now and have no complaints. I now see a new Toyo Versado CUV($215) being sold as well as a Bridestone Dueler h/p Sport AS($223) that were not available previously. Both are similar in price to the Yoko's and I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for my next purchase. I do mostly highway driving and go 53K from the Toyo OEM tires and still had tread left so I'm not adverse to buying Toyo again...

I have the Parada 255/50/r20 on now, and I don't care for them much. I plan on getting the Toyo Versado CUV next time, but I won't need them for another year I have read good things about them. $193.98 at http://www.tiresdirect.net/TOYO_Vers...0_10_P5597.cfm
