Default Idle RPM

Hey guys, was looking at the RPM during traffic and it looks like its below 750. (probably in the 600)

I always thought and (of course from previous cars that I have) its suppose to be 750RPM..

what gives?

I believe that falls within the acceptable idle speed range.

Idle is 600rpm. It's correct if you check the manual.
You have a V6 3.5l engine !!

According to the Service Manual the target idle speed is 650 +/- 50 rpms with the AC off, and 700rpms with AC on.

Your MO looks to be in range. 750 would be a bit too high.

My idle RPM is also about 600 when in traffic (drive mode), however, when i just turn on the engine in the morning (going to work) the rpm is about 1.5k (park mode and just turned on engine), is this normal?

yeah I have NOT fully read the manual-- do we have to? lol.

I dont see any relevance of a V6 engine or turbo, or supercharged to idle RPM..

Dunno about the MO specifically but sounds normal. Warmup rpm is typically 1000+ in most vehicles I've driven. If you wait until it fully warms up you'll see and hear the rpms drop down to normal idle.

My old explorer had a 4L V6 and it idled around 500rpm.
