I've ordered the STI-R lense from retrofit source to replace the factory fresnel lense..While at it, i've decided to mod the LED DRL runinning light that will stay on whenever the parking lights is turn on .....
I got one done and in the middle of doing the other... so far i'm loving it. Looks like it came from the factory.. ![]() Stay tune for pics..

But you have to really know what you're doing... Here are some tips... Bake your headlights inside the oven for 6 and 1/2 minutes at 275 degree..." make sure the headlights is cleared from the oven side and back wall...... Also leave all the bulbs, ballast etc.. with the headlights while baking to avoid any moisture to get inside the headlights.... Make sure to remove any screws that hold the housing and the lense together before baking it..... After you're done baking it, remove all the bulbs before seperate the lense and housing...."HID buld does not need to be remove... You can seperate the lense and housing with your both hands by apply a little pressure while pulling it.... "note: the lense and housing is extremely hot to touch , so becarefull while doing it.." Once the lense and housing is seperated."you can now do whatever you want to the headlights..... Once you're done and time to put it back together.. get the heat gun ready... line up the lense and housing together and heat up the glue.. try to keep the heat gun about 2 inches away from the lense and housing while heating up the glue.... Use the heating gun and heat up the glue around the lense and housing do not stay at 1 area for more than 2 seconds. Go around the whole circle til you see the glue is hot enough ready.. Use both hand to line up the lense and housing then apply a little pressure and press it together til they lined up.. Repeat this step with the heat gun til you think the headlight is completely seal..... Put all the screws that hold the lense and housing back together including all the bulbs...... NOTE: Do this at your own risk, if you're wasn't sure. please ask the professional..

I'm on the same boat as murano driver but I'm skeptical about doing the process. I would also like to retro fit the headlights to the fx-r from theretrofitsource.com. But I'm worried I might mess up the whole thing.
