Trailer Tow Harness 2011 MO SL AWD

I have a 2011 Nissan Murano SL AWD. I am triying to buy a trailer tow harness connector from the dealer. I noticed a connector underneath the bumper. IS this a quick connect for the Trailer Tow harness or something else? Has anybody used this connector?
Thanks...

vin4evr.... Having trouble following you. Does your 2011 Murano have the optional Nissan factory towing harness installed? The info you tendered is really unclear.
I have answers but need you to explain more clearly...

If you want you can post a pic of that "connector" under the bumper you are referring to.

Thanks for your reply BillArf. I do not have the towing harness insalled on the murano. I want to buy the factory Trailer Tow Harness 4 pin(2012 Nissan Murano | Accessories | Nissan USA). There is a quick connect wire underneath the bumper(connector is enclosed in the plastic insulation cover with one side open). I was wondering if the Trailer tow harness you can buy from dealer connect to the quick connect wire underneath the bumper or if I need to run the wires from the break lights. Basically I am wondering what is the quick connect underneath the bumper of Nissan Murano SL AWD. I can get a picture of it in the morning.

Not sure what you are seeing... The Nissan factory trailer harness connects by tail lights. Install really is easy. Completely plug and play. Do get the Nissan trailer writing harness. Do not go with an aftermarket offering.

Well, you get the award for worst picture of the year.... No way for me to make heads or tales out of that picture.....location, etc.

I think that might be the harness going to the beeper (pass. side rear) for the tailgate. Again poor picture so...

Anyway, whatever you are seeing has nothing to do with trailer harness wiring.

When you look at the picture, the connector is on the lower right(the y split is going of to the open connector). The bottom portion of the image is towards the bumper cover. I will try to get a better picture. Thanks for the info.

vin4ever... Here is a video that demonstrates the install of a non Nissan tow harness in a 2010 Murano. I encourage you to view the video just to give you an idea in regard to panel removal which will be useful for you with the factory wiring harness install. Watch the video just until the guy talks about the connects he is using behind the lights. Do not watch any further and whatever you do do not dare consider a non Nissan trailer wiring harness. Use this video just to give you an idea in regard to panel removal. Again, the install of the factory harness is easy easy / plug and play..

I had a trailer dealer do a non-Nissan install & ended up losing the ability to roll down my windows with the remote when approaching the car. I figured out a work around myself but it's not optimal. 2011 SL AWD also. I'd use the factory harness if I had it to do again, but it would add significantly to the cost.

Don't buy the harness through a dealer - go online and buy it for less. That should make a significant difference in cost.
