Greetings!
This is my first post on this wonderful forum. My wife and I just got a used 2010 white SL Murano that is quickly becoming our favorite car. The previous owner took really good care of it and if I'm not mistaken he/she installed some sort of "hands free device" on it and I'm not quite sure what it is, maybe someone here can shed some light on the subject. I'm attaching a picture of the two little receivers (microphone, antenna?) attached to the windshield and one of the button found on the panel. Anybody now what this is? THANKS IN ADVANCE Marc http:// ![]() http://

Welcome to the forum, congrats on the MO. it could possibly be a Bluetooth device for your phone. Have you tried pairing it?

Well, after much research I finally discovered that it's the Advent kit:
Advent : Bluetooth ® Car Kits : NISBTSW2 I haven't paired it with my phone yet, but it looks promising. Here are a couple of our T-Rex (that's how we call it) frozen in the snow. I'm so glad I got this car and not the Ford Edge http:// ![]()

Welcome and congrats on the Mo (T-Rex)...
The white looks great, esp against the snow. How does it handle in the snow?

1.- You make your phone "discoverable". 2.- You press down the button on the dashboard towards the blue symbol and hold it down while it's pairing. 3.- Your phone will pair and it will ask you for the password. 4.- DONE!! I never turn my phone's bluetooth off so whenever I get in the car it automatically makes a "digital sound" letting me know that it's paired. The audio quality is good, specially if you are in the drivers seat (mic and speaker are closer to you). If you receive a call while driving the speakers shut down so you hear the ringing through the car, you press "receive" on your actual phone to accept the call and then you take it from there. I personally try to avoid call while I'm driving so you can say that I'm not that demanding, but all in all I think that it's a really nifty gadget. Take care guys! WM |
