Default LED Head light ext. - Mod.

Add LEDs to your head light ext. (2010 model S)
Remove grill, head light ext. cut hole, install 1 ft LED strip in each ext., seal hole, re-assemble, wire (running lights)

Default Power

I found a wire around the fuse block that is hot when the eng. is on and installed a relay to control LEDs
This the LEDs I used after I painted them black.
5M Car Cool White 3528 SMD LED Waterproof Flexible Strip 12V 600 LEDs | eBay

The Mod took about 4 hrs. the hard part was removing grill

I did the exactly same thing but had little luck to find the good power source for it. Can you show some pics, please ?

This is a quick pix of the fuse block, the red wire is hot when Ing. is on.

Do you have a pic of the back of the light housing? I was thinking of just mounting larger LED's to it and wiring it that way.

Not sure I understand, the head light extention is enclosed. That why I cut a hole and inserted the LED strip in thru the hole inside the encloser.

And it's quite tight when you use a flat strip of LED, right ?
