This problem can be traced back to "operator error" 99.9% of the time.
Take the key fob out of your pocket; now press and hold the "Unlock" button. After about 5 seconds the front windows will roll down. Neat, huh? Unfortunately, pressing and holding the "Lock" button will not roll the windows back up.
The "Unlock" button is not well protected and it is easy for it to be accidentally pressed when you are carrying it around in you pocket. You can see what happens if it is inadvertently pressed.
Find another place to keep the fob and everything should be fine.
