Ok Guys, you all were saying how we did not have alot of stuff for the Muranos, so we went and set up a new website for you all.
I am sure some of you have seen this system before, and are familair with it.
For those that are not, it is an on-line catalog system which list almost every part for your vehicle.
Let me know what you think....

Brian ~
This is AWESOME! Thank you so much.
Feedback so far:
PROS:
Shipping charges are very reasonable.
Link to diagram parts is very helpful.
Pretty good comprehensive list.
MSRP prices as well as your price.
CONS:
I had to put in all my info and create an account before seeing what the shipping charges would be. Generally that's a big turn-off for me, and honestly the only reason I did it just now was that I knew I would be able to gripe at you about it! :p
I'm using this right now, and MIGHT be placing an order soon. The joint between the front and rear tailpipes is all screwed up, and supposedly can't be repaired.
The local (independant, non-nissan) shop quoted me $825 for the front pipe and $390 for the rear (including all mounts and gaskets, etc) for parts only. Pricing it out on your site I'm seeing the MSRP to be a TOTAL of $931.83, and your price being much less.
Currently checking with one of my local (incompetent) dealers to see if they can give me a good price break and get the car done NOW without having to wait for shipping, but if not I'll be placing an order soon. |

I understand your gripe, but so you know, the system will remember what you put in your cart as well, so when you log in next time it should be there.
Also you do not have to put a credit card on file, you can skip this step and still get the shiping charges without giving the system a credit card number.
Let me know of there is anything else I can help you with...

Yeah, that was the one saving grace. I certainly won't enter a card before seeing the full price.
Normally I enter bogus information on such forms, then go back and re-create an account with the real info when I end up wanting to actually purchase something. |

Just about to place an order, and there's a nice little "Promotion Code" section. I don't suppose you want to give out a NissanMurano.org promotion, do you <he asks hopefully>?

Have a muffler shop replace the broken flange or cut the flange off and install a section of exhaust pipe over both ends. I had the flange replaced for $75.00

Hmmmm...... The shop I took it to, who I [pretty much] trust, got a welder to look at it and see if he could just weld the flange shut, but he said the weld wouldn't hold. Don't know if he thought about just cutting it completely out and welding in a new pipe, though.
Thanks for the tip. I may check into that if I have the chance in the next couple days. |

The rear flange half was cut off with a section of the pipe. They added a short section of new pipe with one end flaired. Slipped this into a new flange half, then bolted this to the other flange. The short section of pipe was expanded to fit over the rear pipe and a muffler clamp installed. Solid.
Wish I was smart enough to know how to post a pic.

If you have the pic, and it is just too large to add to the message, go here and download the "image resizer" powertoy (assuming you have WinXP):
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/...ppowertoys.mspx
Then you can simply right-click on the image, select "resize", then select "medium". That should make the file small enough to attach (under 100k) but still be decent quality.
Then, when you're writing your message in the forum, hit the "browse" button under "attach file" and select the new file it made. |

Sorry that it looks awful to you. That is not a crack. It is part of the pipe support. This is a solid fix for an 03 MO with 140,000 kms.
The rear muffler is in good condition. The rear pipe to flange seperated. This has happened to other MO's.

I don't think that looks awful at all! Especially to turn a $1500 repair into a less-than-$100 repair!
Thanks for the pic. I'll take this into a local shop or two and see if they can do something similar.
Sorry to hijack the original intention of this thread.... |
