The FX unfortunately does not have factory installed TMPS. It has happened already twice that my wife drove with low tire pressure despite my checking it religiously. I decided to install for her an aftermarket TPMS. Requirements:
1. nice looking display
2. need to see actual pressure
3. audible and optical alarm
4. easy installation, though I am not a fan of transmitters being screw on the valve. They can easily be stolen
I am looking for recommendations, you experience.
Thank you. |

Nobody?
I cannot believe it that nobody has any experience with after-market TPMS systems... |

I have one but you said you did not want the screw in type.....
I have a Pressure Pro TPMS. It is very accurate and beeps when tire pressure drops more than 3 psi. Downside is the relatively large screw in sending unit. It is visible, attracts attention, and requires rebalance of the wheel once installed. You can get anti theft locks for them if you want.
While back woot.com was selling a TPMS setup that mounted on the inside. It was selling for $149. I don't recall the brand but if I find the link I will post. |
