Anyone have opinions (good or bad) on the Nissan all-weather mats vs. Weathertech or any other options?

I like the look of the Weathertech, but can't say I'm overly excited about the price tag. But I'd be willing to pay if they're that much better. The thing that I like about the Weathertech version is the back seat is one piece that goes across the whole back. With a 7 year old wearing snowy boots, that would be a plus to protect the light colored carpet.

Any opinions are greatly appreciated, as it's probably time for me to get the carpet mats out of there before the snow flies!

Hey, thanks for the reminder, I need to swap my mats out before our trip tomorrow! :)

I have the Nissan all-weather ones, and I REALLY like the front ones. Fit perfectly, have deep grooves to trap water/snow, and they seem to work really well. One problem is that if you happen to like driving in your socks rather than shoes, it's not quite as comfortable, obviously.

The rear ones have the same characteristics, but they are small. They fit each floor nicely, and I think they would be adequate if you don't have someone sitting in the middle. I don't have any little ones that ride in the back (yet, one is on the way), so I can't speak too much for that, but I have had people in the back occasionally during wet/snowy weather and have noticed they seem to do the job adequately.

I would say use the Nissan ones for the front, and if you're worried about the back get the weathertech. But save some money on the fronts, as the Nissan ones are quite nice and significantly cheaper. (I think the front weathertech's, from what I have seen online, are slightly nicer, but not enough to justify the price).

I'm using weathertech for the front, back and cargo area. Very well made and durable. The only negative thing I can say is that due to the semi rigid nature of the material, it doesn't fit flush on the door sill side for the front mats. Otherwise they will take all kinds of abuse.

Wow - I just called 3 local dealers out of curiosity. 2 have them for $95 and the other for $69.
Stoker
You might want to check out Costco for mats. I just picked up a set of Michelin all season mats ( all 4) for $34.

I have Nifty Catch-All Extremes in my 03 Murano and love them. The Nifty Catch-All Premium are also very nice (fully carpeted). They really fit nice.

I just take them out, hose them down, scrub them clean, let them dry in the sun and put them back in. I have 3 boys and they have lasted very well through Football, Soccer and Baseball.

I bought them at www.buyautotruckaccessories.com. Think I got a pretty good price.

i forgot to mention that i'm using the floorliner and not the regular mats.

My fronts are from Costco like Stoker.
I have a one piece rear I got from Autozone. Had to do a slight trim job for the console indention, but that keeps it still.

I've used these on my last 3 vehicles.

A little pricey but as far as I'm concerned, they're great.

I had the Nissan heavy rubber matts and about two months ago got the weathertech matts. I like them better because the rear matts are one big one and covers the floor well and the front fit better and also cover more.

I would recommend them over the Nissan matts.

The Nissan mats fit perfectly up front. The rear mats fit nicely too, but don't cover the little hump in the middle. They are large enough to cover the entire foot area of the outboard seats, and fit snugly four or five inches under the front seats too.

The one piece mat would be more protective for the rear, if you use the middle seating position. It is a heck of a lot easier to remove the individual side mats for cleaning though, especially if there is a bit of water/snow/pebbles/sand back there.

I found like most matts they don't fit the front drivers side well... specifically near the gas pedal. In the winter the rug would be wet under the matt (bad!!!). This doesn't happen with the weathertech as it has a high enough edge that water/snow can not get under the matt.
