For the time between Xmas and New Years we swapped out SD house with some friends that have a place in Truckee, CA.
Our Mo is FWD and I felt totally comfortable in the snow without AWD. The road the house was on never thawed and was icy in some spots yet our SE handled it well.
I did bring some cable/chains, but they were not required so I did not really need them.
Here are a few pics of the place and the road.
