Heated mirrors - Click HERE for Original Thread

Hello,
My 07 Mo “S” did not come with heated side mirrors. Can anyone safely tell me if I just need the “glass” and inside the enclosure will be harness ready to connect and work with my rear window heater or is it more elaborate (fishing wires through door, finding relay or output to rear heat)? And I saw Muth mirror kits, but they do have a lot of options and are expensive too. If I go just to local junk yard I might find the right glass (maybe even heated)

Thank you Michael

Heated side mirrors in FL? The MO's (in Canada) come with heated side mirrors and is turned on when the rear defrost is switched on. It might be that the sides are pre-wired since it would function the same way. If they are pre-wired; sourcing heat mirrors from a parts dealer(junk yard) might be the way to go.

Florida is one o the states where you use defogger on mirrors the most. There is 80+% humidity present almost every night. When I come to my cars in the morning and they are not wet and fogged like after rainstorm I’m surprised. Combination of always clean windows and Rain-X worked for me on the windshield and side windows since the movement of the vehicle is helping me to blow away anything form glass, but you cannot say this about rear window and side mirrors. I’m using defogger on my pathfinder almost every day. Now my MO is missing this feature…

I didn't know that. I thought my 07 had heated mirrors, but the other day, I noticed they were frosting up a bit. I thought maybe I was mistaken. I didn't know they were turned on with the rear defrost? Thanks!
