| I chopped down two tree's this weekend and had to drive all the chopped up branches to the local dump.... I made about 8 trips. I kept the body of the tree as firewood. Thought I would share some pictures of the loaded up Mo.... go ahead with the wood jokes !! |

Looks like you must live out in the sticks.
Never would attempt that with my MO. |

Oh, you guys all whine too much. It's not a show car, for crying out loud!
I congratulate you for using your SUV to do a REAL job!
I have a utility trailer that I would first load up with as much as possible, and if I had left-overs and could potentially cut down on the number of trips by doing the same thing you did, I certainly would.
Of course, considering that you had 8 trips worth, I might have instead gone out and rented a chipper, and then just used the wood chips for landscaping. Or rented a trailer to do everything in 1 trip rather than 8.
But still, a Kudos to you for actually putting your MO to work! :claphead: |

| She's like a chick who can wear jeans during the day and a dress at night.... a chick who can drink beer while watching the (Giants) football games and wine when out for dinner... she cleans up nice and neat when I shine her... but hauls when I need her too !! I love my Murano no less then anyone else... but My Murano might love me a little more then the rest of you who pamper it like a snobby little girl. :D A little work is good for her, keeps her grounded. :2: |

| Kudos on using all the space in the MO to haul stuff. Very few of us actually use all that space a crossover vehicle provides. I agree, its a car, and designed to take a few scratches here and there. |

Me too! My son removed a number of maple trees, and I had to haul the wood home...

Awesome! :)
I hauled a butt-load of cardboard over the weekend to the recycling center. Obviously nothing compared to what you guys are doing, but the similarity was that it was packed all the way to the roof with flattened moving boxes. Couldn't believe how much cardboard we had, and was amazed that it all fit in the MO. I was originally thinking I would have to make two trips.
I have pictures, I'll try to post on this thread when I get the chance. |

Poor car :(.
Well, I spent the entire day this weekend working on my Mo.
I vacumned her which took forever.
I washed down the inside.
I leatherique the seats with conditioner and then cleaner.
I then Washed and waxed her up !!
She looks brand new !! I feel in love with her all over again... and you know how I know that. Every time I walked by the garage, I opend the door to just peek in and look at her. Ahhhh, i use to do that the first month or two after she came home with me.
I would post pictures, but the glare would be so bright, the pictures would seem overexposed and not come out. :D |

:D Ok. I take it back. It's a lucky car!:D
I'm a photographer and haul ALOT of props, gear, stands and all kinds of stuff in my MO. It didn't happen in the MO yet, but I know I got some scratches in the plastic sides on my Quest when I used it for hauling. I hate that. So far, so good for now though.
I have a utility trailer I use for haul garden trash, trees and all that. I love it. Next best thing to a 'truck'. :) |

I have one too, but I would say it's BETTER than a truck. Insurance, registration, space it occupies, and the ride quality are all much better than a truck. I would MUCH rather have a good utility trailer and a good car (that has the ability to tow it) than a truck.
Only downside is that I have to spend the extra 2 minutes hooking it up. :D |

Corin,
I also have a small (4' x 6') utility trailer and love it. In many ways, this setup is "Better" than a truck for most of us "weekend warriors" (including me) that use it as a daily commuter during the week.
However, if you are comparing simply towing and hauling and have a large boat or trailer that you tow on a regular basis - I would have to say that it is not "Better" than a truck.
