What do you guys think???

My first initial thought was "It looks like the new version of the Scion xB!"

Of course, it's bigger, but the rounded curves on the rear give it very much the same feel.

I've always liked the layout of Honda vehicles. Very practical. And since I don't really care about styling, particularly on the OUTSIDE, I generally like their vehicles very well.

But, the Pilot is frickin' HUGE (remember, I even think the MO is too big, I like small cars). And even though I don't really care about styling, the interior shot of that Pilot looks like everything is the same color throughout (pretty much) making it seem quite bland. How about a LITTLE bit of color contrast somewhere inside?

Front looks like a jeep or something.

Also looks like the whole tail-light is red. Honda USED to be good about always having amber turn signals on the rear, which I greatly prefer, so that is a knock-down in my book.

I like the flow and shape of the dash and center console. Check out the little shelf compartment just above the glove box for the passenger. Neat.

Cup holders are pushed way forward, so having something there blocks some buttons, plus if anything splatters or spills it could get into the buttons and make them sticky, which is irritating.

Obviously, just like every time someone brings up the Pilot on this forum, you're going to get a whole bunch of "Eeeewwww it's so BORING" comments. It's not a flashy vehicle by any means, but you have to realize what the market is for a pilot. It's an attempt at a very practical vehicle, not one to turn heads.

I'd be curious to see the layout of the middle and rear seats.

It has the overall shape of the current gen Pathfinder but with really thick pillars and a futuristic looking front fascia. Not bad looking, and I'm sure the interior will be excellent as all Hondas are. The production version will likely be toned down somewhat, but it will continue to be a success for Honda.

The Pilot is only a few inches longer than the Murano (if at all) - it is just taller and boxier, making it appear much larger.

Still has the column mounted shifter like my Dad's 1938 Studebaker.
And it is still a bus, tho this new one is a def improvement.

I'm a little torn on the column shifter. On one hand, I like the feel of the shifter on the console (like MO has). On the other hand, having it up on the column frees up space on the console for other useful things.

Well, the shifter on the dash area is better than the current model's old style shifter coming from the steering column.

I agree that the full red taillights need an amber section. At least they went away from the altezza lights that I originally thought people bought as a mod from ebay, but were actually stock!

Throw on some running boards and maybe a brush guard, and we have a pretty mean looking SUV.

I like the Pathfinder, but it doesn't offer HID's. Once you've had HID's, you don't want halogen again.

Nissan also doesn't feel signal lights on mirrors are necessary. Just like that Cadillac commercial that talks about people wanting cup holders, I want signal lights on the mirrors!!

Four must-have's for a car are Bluetooth, back-up camera, HID's, and side mirror lights. If you've never had them, then you probably don't care for them. The new Pilot probably won't have HID's, too bad.

Trust me, once you have, all your future cars MUST have them.. well maybe not the signal lights. hehe. The other three...definitely!

The shifter is on the dash?

Well, thats a breakthrough.
I haven't seen that since my very first new car......a 1955 Dodge Custom Royal Lancer!
What WILL they think of next! LOL!

The Pilot will always sell reasonably well. Most people see it as a bland MDX......and I think that is still fair.
You can load one up for <> $40K.

I think it looks like a lunch box!

Not that different from last year. Fine tuned the lines to make it look like a small(er) Land Cruiser.

Looks like pretty much any other CUV's out there. Pretty conservative(boring-sorry; no offence inteded).
I'm not a huge fan of dash-mounted shifters. It's a very unnatural position of ergonomics; especially in case where you need to quickly shift between gears in case of emergency manuvers. You just can't get the quick leverage you can with console mounted shifter(like the MO!).
I'm sure that it's built well; Hondas usually are very particular about their fit-and-finish.

Boring, bland, boxy, unoriginal, what did they do it anyways?
Put a new skin, new color but didn't bother with re-designing its shape or anything!
I was hoping to see something way cooler, along the lines of the Civic, a little more sleek.
But I guess they like the boxy look to this Pilot, huh?

I like it. Nothing too crazy and could and probably will appeal to alot of buyers...

Hate that grill, I hope that part stays in the concept stage.

I agree with you about the grill. It looks a little like the MDX grill which I don't like either.

I think I would be leaning more towards something like this.....

Looks like my old Isuzu Trooper II LOL.

By Gosh it does look like an old Trooper. I always liked them.......

I see a lot of styling lines that remind me of the large GM SUVs (Suburban, Yukon Denali) in the lines, especially in the rear 1/2 of the Honda.
