Ok,
I know many have made this same "upgrade" with the mirror but I ran into an issue with mine. I got the mirror off eBay and it is out of an 06 MO. I got it wired in and powered up but the Homelink isn't functioning. The auto dim and compass work fine but I get no lighted response when I depress any of the Homelink buttons. I found one reference that states: "If the red light does not come on when using Homelink - Move constant wire to a higher current rated circuit." I currently have the constant wired into a 12v constant source and the voltage is 12.8. Any suggestions?
Thanks! |

afdweller-
According to the Service Manual, the mirror is simply connected to a standard circuit protected by fuse #14. That is obviously a 12 volt circuit.
Try this... Push and hold the two outer buttons for twenty (20) seconds. The indicator lamp, between the second and third buttons, should blink after the twenty-second period. If they don't, then you may have a problem with the mirror, and hopefully your Internet source will offer an exchange.
Let me know if it works.
Good luck.
