Several members have made the halogen to HID swap. It is a very smart upgrade because the change in illumination is significant.

Do a search of the archives and you can find numerous threads that discuss the swap in detail.

Let us know how it goes.

Your best best is to look on eBay for the lamp assemblies from a wrecked or parted-out MO. The assemblies come with the ballast, housing, bulb, lens, etc. You will need to buy and wire a relay.

I don't believe there is a single part number for the lamp housing and ballast.

You can search eBay for the assemblies.

I would definitely stay away from the universal retrofit kits that simply stick an HID lamp in the existing reflector. Those are both illegal and dangerous. If not properly designed and matched to the housing and reflector, the HIDs can be blinding to oncoming motorists.
