VDC Option - Click HERE for Original Thread
MobiusYuger
Hello,

I'm in the market for a 2007 Murano (like the old body style better), I'm having trouble locating a Murano of my color choice with VDC. There are plenty without VDC. Does anyone know if VDC can be added later? I'm not sure if the vehicle is prewired and it's simple a module that needs to be installed.

I tried the search but didn't come up with anything that addresses adding VDC later...

Thanks!!

MobiusYuger-

It is safe to say it would not be economically feasible to add VDC to a non-VDC MO.

I'd keep on looking or opt for a MO without VDC.

Agreed. I was looking into this extensively when I bought my '05. I wanted cloth seats and VDC, which simply wasn't an option.

VDC can only be added as an option if you have a pretty well loaded MO. It requires the touring package before the VDC option can be added.

It is simply not feasible (without a MAJOR overhaul) to add VDC later. I finally gave up. If you search for my posts on this forum, I gripe about this quite a bit... :p

If you really want VDC, start searching for "fully loaded" Muranos, or include "leather" in your search. Those are really going to be your only candidates to also have VDC (but doesn't guarantee that it will be included).

Thanks everyone for the replies. I figured it would be a far stretch but it never hurts to ask. :-) This is a great forum, the best I've found so far on Muranos. If all goes well I may be joining you guys officially shortly.

Thanks again!

I'm not sure if VDC can even be added aftermarket. In either case, its a feature that was a must have for me when I purchased my MO, and I highly recommend it - its one of those things that you don't notice in everyday driving but might save your bacon one day when you overcook it on a turn.

Your best bet will be an SE. More of them had VDC since they were all AWD.

However, all '09's have VDC so you might look again.

it's a must have for me as well as i've witnessed it save my life. I was going through a S curve in my TSX - first curve okay, second one got away!
