hello - While some members are drooling over the new 2009 MO, I just became the proud owner of a new 2007. One of my local dealers still had 6 of them on his lot. With the new models coming in, I saw that as an opportunity to make a deal on a 2007. It's only been a week since I got it and still getting used to the CVT. Traded in my 02 Maxima for the MO. Looking forward to learning a thing or two on this forum, and hopefully throw in my own two cents worth.

Congrats! I hope it treats you well.

What model/color combo did you get?
If you don't mind me asking, what kind of deal did the dealer give you on the '07?

This is awesome news...
Congrats on the new ride... its a good one for sure.

Good news for those of us who want an 2009 also because the more 2007s that are sold soon should push down the price of the 2009s. It's that supply and demand thing.

Talk about supply and demand. wait till you see the price of the new Dodge Challenger SRT8 with #43 on it...

They got a million for the first 2009 ZR1 Vette. A year from now it will still be hot but no more than $100K.

07SLAWD-

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new purchase!

I am a fan of the 1st-gen MOs. They still have a look all their own, unlike the newer MO/Rogue/Tribeca/et-al offering.

Enjoy the ride.

I am also trading in my 02 Maxima for the 09 Murano (waiting for dealer to bring in the Platinum+Black color combo)

It's a small Nissan world :-)

Congrats and welcome to the club.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I got a Midnight Blue SL AWD with the Touring pkg and floor mats. The only changes so far are splash guards. The front was a breze to install, but the rear is a little more involved and I need to wait for slightly better weather to tackle that. I don't fancy drilling into the bumper cover in the freezing cold. Rearview monitor and intelligent key are nice, but by far the best feature is the HID projector headlamps. I had HID's on the Maxima too, but these on the MO are the best I have used. I love the sharp cutoff and the adjustable beams.

Here's how it looked the day I bought it....

A week later - not so clean any more....:( :(

Looks great! I love that color.

Buying a new car in the midst of winter is always a nightmare. As much as you try to keep it clean, it's just a vicious circle (unless you live in So Cal, Florida, etc.).

Or Atlanta and it's silver.
:D
You can only see dirt on mine if someone leans on it.
LOL
Sometimes when I wash it, I am shocked at how dark my soap water gets.

Congrats on a great car in the 2nd best color available. ;)

Congrats on your new MO!
You'll love the car.
Just think of your CVT as a snowmobile on big wheels:D
When you hit the gas; it'll be like Coyote pulling back on a large rubber band and then wait for it; the release is really a neat feeling:2:
BTW-if you don't mind me asking; what was the difference in price between the '07 to the '09?

There was no pricing available when I made the deal on mine. I am almost afraid to do a comparison now because I might regret the decision.

Even though I loved my Maxima I don't regret the purchase either I am still getting used to the MO though. Still feels like I am driving someone else's car or a rental. I think I need to throw in some junk get some junk to speed up the process (gas receipts, spare change, kids muddy/salty footprints on the seat backs, etc)
