Question about Dual weave mesh grille - Click HERE for Original Thread
muranomax
I am looking into replacing the grille for my 2004 Mo with a dual weave mesh grille. It looks really cool in the photo. I am not sure about the quality of these products as I have not seen one personally. If anyone has replaced their grille with the dual weave mesh grille, please post some photos and comment on the quality of these products.

Thanks

That's a very cool looking grill, although I personally don't really think it fits the MO's looks.

I haven't seen that particular one posted on this forum yet, so I'm not sure how many replies you're going to get. Who manufactures it? If it's the same company (no idea who it is) that does the stainless steel Z style grill (like I have) then the quality should be good. I'm impressed with mine.

I still think the MO is crying for a high quality Chrome grill with only horizontal lines......and not many of the. Somewhere between 1 and 3 IMO.

I believe it is made by E & G Classic grille. Its the same company that makes the horizontal line grille. I have seen some photos of that. It looks good on black murano but did not look good on some other colors. I photoshopped it on to a white murano and it did not look good at all. Personally, the dual weave mesh looks better on white, silver or gray colors and the horizontal grille (see photo)looks great on black color murano.

I've eyed this grill as well. My dealer had a similar one on a Maxima in the showroom and it looked very good (high quality). It looked to be from same manuafacturer.

My only concern is - living in the North with road salt and all - will surface rust form at the mesh crossings and how would it hold up to the sandblasting effect of road debris?

I live in ma as well and like that grill, its stainless steal, however I think I might clear coat the grill. I had a trenz on my maxima and the tarnished in a few months
