| I have a 2005 SL AWD with 49k miles (and extended warranty) and while traveling at highway speeds (60mph), the MO started shaking, and then I noticed a burnt clutch smell inside the cabin. I rolled down the windows, and it was definitely from my MO. I got to my destination, and the smell had subsided. I live in chicago, and we just got 10" of snow. Could that be the issue, or do I need to worry? The highway was clear of any snow. |

| I would inspect or have inspected you transfer case. Snow should never cause a burning metal smell. |
