Hi All,
My wife and i just bought a 2007 glacier pearl murano with cafe latte cloth interior. the first thing our 3 year old did when we showed her the new car was cry for our old van that had a flip down DVD player (her TV as she calls it). As much as i'd like to not hear Dora the Explorer every time we drive it seems its just not meant to be.
Anyway, i have searched the forums and found some complex and detailed ways to get video into the car. What i would really like are a pair of headrest screens that are built in. i have found several threads here talking about them, but when I look the products up it appears that they only come in the leather, not the fabric.
i don't want them in the car is they won't match the factory fabric so does any one know of a company that makes the headrests with DVD players that use the cafe latte fabric from the 2007 Murano? My dealer assured me Invision makes a set with the factory cloth, but I can't find it anywhere.
I don't want to bother with a flip down since it would block the already narrow rear window and I don't like the type that simply strap to the head rests. Suggestions appreciated. Thanks! |

Welcome to the forum.
You might want to contact Vizualogic and see if they can custom fabricate one for you. They appear to be a major player in the DVD headrest industry. Here's a link to their website - CLICK HERE
They claim to make both leather and clothe headrests, unfortunately they only list leather for the MO, but they may do custom work. It's worth an email or phone call.
Good luck.

| If all else fails, Fry's electronics had an overhead flip down DVD player for $444 installed. That was in yesterday's paper. |

My 8 yr old felt the same way. I got her this from Radio Shack for christmas when it was on sale for $69.99 and she's as happy as can be now.

A lot of trouble to make a 3 yr old happy when this will do the same for less than $100. Plus you can give headphones to the kid so I don't have to listen to Hannah Montana or the latest Bratz DVD. |

| That woudl work for an older kid, but I don't think a 3 year old in a car seat would be able to hold that thing... at least not without someone having to pick it up 50 times a day when she drops it. |

Ah, kids. On our family road trips, my parents set a 12V 10" TV/VCR on the center console of the 1993 Chevy Suburban. They got a headphone splitter from Radio Shack for my brother and I, and we watched tapes for hours on end.
That thing weighed 15 pounds and had a horrible screen. But it kept going... until we had to buy a new cord for it and accidentally reversed the polarity. The magic smoke got out and stunk up the car.
Now there are headrest monitors, flip down televisions, in-dash DVD players, and swiveling back seats with built in game table... lol. My parents just sigh when I tell them I'm installing a computer in the MO. |
