tammiesmurano03-
It sounds like an air leak. Go back and retrace your steps. Make sure the intake connections are properly seated and tightly clamped.

| Its almost certainly an air leak as joe says. Recheck all the air filter box clips, and if in doubt, pull off and reconnect any intake hoses in the area. |

thanks for your advice. i looked at it again this morning and the intake tube was loose. started it up again and it died right away. its a blizzard here so i dont even want to take it out on the roads to check it at all. ( supposed to get 14" today) fun times.
i have an appt at the dealer tomorrow 99 bucks for the relearn....should be fun getting it there the closest dealer is about 30 mins away...

It looks like you found the problem. When the blizzard subsides and you can look under the hood I suggest you ensure all other connections are tightly sealed, then give it another try. You may be able to save yourself a trip to the dealer.
Good luck.

Whatever connections you may have disturbed. Make sure each and everyone is firmly seated.
It may take a minute or so for the engine management system to adjust to the fix, so let it run a bit before committing to head off to the dealer.
Good luck.

To be honest... I don't know. I would think it would be almost instantaneous, but it may require some amount of time for the engine management system to acknowledge that the air flow is no longer fluctuating.
I figure a few extra minutes in the neighborhood is worth having to drive 30 minutes to the dealer.

update** well this morning my fiance' decides " i can get the car to the dealer by driving it" so i follow her knowing in my mind it wont make it. and--------it didnt -- we made it 1/8th of a mile before it wouldnt move anymore. so we call the towing company. takes 1:45 to get to where we were. tow it to dealer and I tell him it needs a relearn. he tells me " well do that first and then see if it needs anything else" we left it seeing as we were 1:15 late for our appt. ill update you all later as my day progresses...
