| 15,000 service maintenance $$$- YIKES! - Click HERE for Original Thread |

Greetings!
I am the proud owner of a 2007 SL AWD / glacier pearl. As I embark on reaching 15,000 -- I called my original dealer to schedule m service appointment -- I was STUNNED as to the price I was quoted -- $346.00!!!
And that is a special!! The regular price I am told is $427!!!
OY VEY!!!
I called another dealer --and was told the price is$250!!!
That too seems VERY extreme for only 15,000 mile service.
Has anyone had this done recently -- how much was it and what exactly am I getting for this insane price.
Times are tough -- and that's a lot of money to splurge!
HELP!:3: |

It's an unnecessary maintenance check from what I've read here on other posts?
Here's what Nissan says is covered. I would think a reliable, non-Nissan shop would do that for much less.

All you need to do is change the oil ($12), oil filter ($8), air filter ($10), cabin air filter($13), and rotate the tires ($20).
There is no need to have the car serviced at the dealer. You will not void the warranty by having maintenance performed at a reputable garage.

| I don't have it in front of me, but I want to say I paid something like $180 at a Nissan dealer. |

I think Joe must be listing what the parts cost (although the tire rotation is all labor).
For all those services, I would expect something under $200 to be reasonable for *dealer prices.* |

| If you look at most of the maintenance schedule, their charging you $350 for an oil change. Oh,MAYBE they will put a little windshield washer in for you. It's ridiculous. I hate dealerships. I guess that's why I have 80k miles on my '05 Murano and have only done oil changes and tire rotation. :2: |

| Paying a couple hundred dollars (or more) to change the oil, those 2 filters, and rotate the tires is insane. |
