Simple TPMS question - Click HERE for Original Thread

Did some searching, but no prices popped up.

Have a 05 Murano. Sold original wheels. Put wheels from a 06 SL on.

TPMS is not reading the PSI per wheel. Flat tire light goes on after about 50 miles. No beeps, nothing annoying, just want it right.

I assume I need to go to the dealer and have them reprogram the system for the new wheels.

Roughly, what should that cost?

Thanks:)

Did you take the wheel sernsors out when you sold the wheels? Are they in the new wheels now?

I did not.

So the new wheels have Nissan sensors in them, just not from my car.

On occasion I will get a reading from 1 or 2 of the sensors. But more of the time an "*" shows up

Thanks

Then they do have to be reactivated. I don't know if anyone but the dealer has the tool...

Right

What I am asking is if anyone knows what this should cost me? I don't want to get there and they quote me a higher price than other people have paid.

Thanks

It shouldn't take them more than 30 minutes to an hour to reinitialize the sensors with the computer. Maybe even less than that. I'd call shannanigans if they charged for more than 1 hours labor.

I was told by my dealer it was a flat rate of $110.00 including tax to reprogram them. I went to a tire shop and they said they could do it to but for $90.00. They find every way to make you pay more.

Thanks a bunch for that. I'll call around to some tire shops and see what I can get price wise. I never even thought of those places as an option.

Thanks!!
