I thought I looked this up long ago when I 1st got my murnao, but alas due to loss of brain cells can't remember.
Does my 03' Murnao have a timing belt or chain? I'm thinking it was chain.
I ask because It just turned 95,000 and I'm going to be bring it in to the dealer this week for fan belt change. Just wanted to have my facts straight. Any other "must checks" at 95,000? I can't go crazy belts will cost enough..even though the price of the 2 belts them selves is next to nothing. |

Never mind I found my answer, I had to set the filter on this subject to list "All posts" about the 6th or 7th page in, I found my exact question.
Timing Chain! Good I remembered correct.
After reading all of your posts I'm thinking I should shop around and see if I can find a mechanic who can do it for less, I don't have a dealer quote but i noted they offer a coupon for $299, so I'm figuring they are going to charge $299. I know those 2 belts cost around $25.
Your instructions make it sound easy, but i'm not comfortable with the tensioner aspect of it to do it myself.
I've replaced my brake pads, but they're straight forward. |
