My Murano Experience - Click HERE for Original Thread

Hello everyone. I had a 2006 Murano, cream color, leather, S AWD, sunroof and I loved it until I saw the commercial for the 2009. I looked online and saw all of the cool enhancements and then I visited Grubbs Nissan. It was there that I knew I wanted one, so I went through the process of picking out the options, colors, etc. I would have purchased my new vehicle there, but I could not get enough trade in value for my 06.

I visited Trophy Nissan, and the dealer there must have thought that I was on crack or something; they offered me chump change for my 06. I had even talked the salesman before driving from Fort Worth Texas to Mesquite. Not only did they not have the vehicle I wanted, they thought I wanted a 07.

On my way from Mesquite, I thought I would just pop into Nissan of Irving to get another quote for my trade in. I must say that I walked in and saw salesman Brian standing at the counter and he asked me if I was looking for a new car and from there it was on. I told him that I wanted an 09 for $34k, (platinum, nav, dual sunroof and black leather) and that I wanted 19k for my 06. Brian took this information to the powers to be and came back and said yes. This dealership is like top notch because I was like no way. He then told me that he did not have the vehicle there on the lot, however he would give me a loaner to drive home for the night and that he would have my vehicle the next day. I was speechless.

This is truly amazing because I was getting what I wanted for the price that I wanted to pay. I had seen this forum and had followed what the going price and what people were paying, so I had an idea of what I wanted. I must say that before I had gotten to the dealerships, I had looked online at each dealership and was impressed at how fast each one responded to my request for pricing. Anyway, as Brian was doing the paper work for me to get my vehicle, I sent the salesman at Trophy Nissan telling him what had just happen. Sorry guys, you need to take notes.

Brian could not find a 09 with Nav for me to drive home; however, he did have the same color scheme with a DVD player. So, I got to play with the gadgets, see how my vehicle was different for the other model and confirm what I wanted. Brian called me the next day to tell me that he had my vehicle and when I got there, he had it ready for me.

I have to say that I am jealous. I came to this site after a long absence to see what folks are saying about the 09's. Because my 03 is still a great ride I can not justify buying a new one, but I wish your many miles of driving enjoyment.

This is a forum to discuss the Nissan Murano, not a place where you can practice writing fiction. You really expect us to believe that a Nissan salesman was fair, accommodating, truthful and followed-up on his promises? Just how gullible do you think we are?

Good luck with your new MO and kudos to Nissan of Irving for showing us what a new-car buying experience should be like.

Boy, I thought for a second there that Joe had lost it!:D

Congratulations on your purchase though I had my doubts it would turn out OK when he wanted to keep your Mo until they got the 2009 but he kept his word.
