| I had the problem with the stripped gear in the seat. I have resolved this problem. My seat works great now and will out last the plastic gear by life. By the way it is not even close to costing $600 - $1000 what other people are saying they have spent. |

Could you please tell us how and with what you replaced the stripped gear with so that we can all understand what you have found? |

| I made a gear from metal instead of the nylon. The seat moves very smooth. It is a little louder due to the metal on metal vibrations from the worm gear. It works great. |

Welcome to the forum.
Was the gear easy to fabricate and install? If so, you might want to consider making up a handful, print-up some directions, and sell them to the hapless owners of out-of-warranty MOs. Faced with a choice between a $1,000 dealer repair and a $50 do-it-yourself repair, I'd rather scrape a few knuckles and save the coin.

| These gears are not easily made. There was a lot of work to come up with the replacement. It is very expensive to have these made custom. I have more of these gears. I will sale them for a price much less than any person can have them made for. The research is done and I know these work. Contact me if you are interested. |

| Good for you! Making those gears must have been challenging. After you replaced the gears in the motor/housing, did the PRESET for the seat/mirror/pedal position function properly? |

| Yes everything works like factory. |

| Interesting... do you have install pictures? |

| I do not have installed picture, but I do have a picture of the gear that I made, if you are interested. |

Sure what every can you post with instructions would be valuable to many.
I don't have an issue with my seat gears, I did have a squeaky/creeky seat. One dealer wanter $1000+ to fix.... another dealer fixed it for $100, its been fine since. |
