| I want to install a switch in the panel next to the mirror controls on my 05 but can't figure out how to run the wires to it. Anyone know how to get underneath the front of the lower center console? |

Nice thing about the interior of the MO is that most parts are snapped together and are easy to take apart.
1- Remove the inside trays for both coin and cell phone holders
2- While sitting in the driver seat, using your right hand put your thumb and index fingers inside the coin and cell phone holders
3- Grab tight and pull straight up. The shifter cover along with the coin and cell phone boxes will pull right out.
Ay this point you should be able to turn the cover sideways to expose the front of the front tray.
4- Now just pull up the front of the tray (closest to the shifter) and remove.
Note: If you want to remove the shifter cover completely, before you start, pull down on the cover the is right under the shifter knob. You will see a spring clip under it. Remove the spring clip and shifter knob will slide ride off the shaft. Now do the steps above and remove the cover all together. Watch out for wires to the cover light as you will need to undo its connector.

I was able to install a switch without removing the top portion of the console. Here is the link of photos I posted in other thread.
