I'm a newbie who's enjoyed reading these forums for a long time. I'm just about ready to buy my first Murano. I like the '09 but have always loved the first gen look. I still prefer it to the 09. My question is am I foolish to buy an '07 in 2008 when there is a '09 model available?

Any opinions you guys may have would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Michael

It's all a matter of personal taste. If you prefer the 2007 model then go for it. You should be able to get a 2007 for a lot less than a 2009 at this point. The warranty will be the same. And when you do finally go to sell it, it will have relatively fewer miles per year than a 2009 model.

He's right, if you can find a 07, you'll find yourself a great deal. Drive both, and see what you like better. The looks of the 09 are growing a lot on me. You loose a little cargo space in the 09, but the interior is very nice. The 09 is a top safety pick, but the 07 wasn't really lacking in that department either. Its going to come down to which one you thinks drives nicer, and which interior you like.

Good luck

My local dealer had a brand new 07 (AWD with Nav and Touring package) for $6k under MSRP. That is about $3k under invoice....!

Thanks for your input. I thought I'd let you know that I am now the proud owner of a 2007 Murano. I took it for a test drive and it just felt right to me. I got the silver w/black interior. My first choice was black w/caffe latte but they couldn't find one with the options I wanted.

I paid 27,500 and it's pretty loaded. Did I get a good deal?

Thanks

If you got it for 3k under invoice, thats a pretty good deal I would say! You can find invoice pricing on Edmunds.com

Wait! Did we say 2007? We made a mistake, we meant to say 2009, not 2007. Damn. Sorry about that. These things happen.

But seriously, folks... It sounds like a good deal. Enjoy your new MO!
